Invest in a Sustainable Global Community through the Global Youth Advancement Network Fund

Michigan State University is working every day to empower the next generation of thinkers, doers, and change-makers. We need your help to ensure a prosperous and peaceful future. Your generous support will allow faculty and students as well as local and international partners engaged in youth education, entrepreneurship and leadership initiatives to make an impact across the globe and invest in the next generation of global citizens.

By Supporting the Global Youth Advancement Network Fund, you will help to:

  • Establish and sustain a unit at Michigan State University where global issues related to youth empowerment and capacity building can be addressed holistically
  • Bolster a convening and resource center for MSU and other international scholars, national governments and civil society practitioners as they address issues pertaining to young people, especially marginalized youth across the globe, with a focus on Africa and Asia.
  • Provide technical support for curriculum design and program monitoring and evaluation for youth programs
  • Strengthen a platform for research, publications and thought leadership on programs related to youth education, entrepreneurship and leadership

Michigan State University’s international engagement and global orientation strengthens the entire university’s research, education, and outreach. It also contributes to a campus that is rich with voices and cultures from across the United States and around the world. We have pioneered a collaborative approach in which MSU-affiliated people hold key positions in researching and attempting to solve just about every significant global challenge the planet faces today: food security, sustainable environment, health and nutrition, education, and more. Independent observers of global importance—from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to Mastercard Foundation to the U.S. Agency for International Development—recognize the effectiveness of our collaborative approach and are funding large programs through MSU. So are government research and funding agencies like the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health.

International Studies and Programs has been the pioneer in bringing global perspectives to the university and the MSU perspective to the world for a half-century. With our partnership approach, we are leading the way among U.S. higher education institutions to create networks to bring the brightest minds together to advance the world’s most promising opportunities and solve the world’s most pressing problems.

We are poised to do so much more. With additional funding, we can bring our proven network partnership model to even greater scale. Your support can accelerate MSU’s effectiveness on a global front, and help the university and the state of Michigan play an important role in organizing the global knowledge partnerships needed to improve well-being in Michigan and around the world.
